We've spent a few weeks globe trotting this winter looking for great winter escapes with the main requirements being windy, warm and affordable. And we haven't been disappointed. Locations so far include Vanuatu, Maui and Cocos Islands.

Vanuatu - Yacht based, cruising a variety of locations throughout this tropical haven, staying overnight in local villages and wreck diving if licenced.

Maui - The mecca of kiteboarding, known for it's heavy and consistent winds, awesome waves and laid back vibe. Kiting a variety of locations from our base in Paia, a sleepy little beach town at the foot of Haleakala volcano.

Cocos Islands - The jewel in the Indian Ocean, Cocos (Keeling Islands) blows consistent 20 knot SE tradewinds in the windy season. Perfect for kiteboarding, this location offers smooth, crystal clear water, a palm fringed tropical backdrop and wind all day and night.

Trips and dates are still being finalised and may be subject to availability. They will include airport pick up and drop off, accommodation, meals and travel to all kiting locations. They are suitable for intermediate kiters who have solid kiting skills and can handle tricky launches and landings at times. For those that don't know how to boat launch, training will be offered.
